Every year, the Agence de la biomédecine's medical and scientific report centralizes consolidated data on medically assisted procreation (MAP) in France. These data are analyzed to track the development of this activity for professionals and decision-makers.

Consolidated data on medically assisted reproduction

The medical and scientific report compiles aggregated data from the activities of MPA centers authorized by the agency. This information concerns :

  • the number and characteristics of attempts made (inseminations, in vitro fertilizations, embryo transfers);
  • success rates, including pregnancies obtained and live births;
  • the activity of various procedures, such as fresh or frozen embryo transfers;
  • patient profiles, including ages and medical indications for treatment.

The report also highlights changes in techniques and results over the years, while offering regional analyses and international comparisons. These data provide an accurate picture of the effectiveness and quality of MPA practices, essential for healthcare professionals, researchers and decision-makers.
