Prenatal diagnosis

The medical and scientific report compiles data from prenatal diagnosis activities, which include examinations to identify anomalies or diseases in the embryo or fetus. These data cover :

• the number of examinations carried out, by type of test (serum marker assays, aneuploidy testing by analysis of free DNA circulating in maternal blood, cytogenetics, molecular genetics and fetal biochemistry) ;

These data are collected either individually or in aggregate form, depending on the type of analysis. Data quality is systematically checked by the agency, in collaboration with the laboratories concerned.
