How long does it take to donate an egg at the various donation centers?

For oocyte donors: Donation takes place in 5 stages, and the entire procedure takes less than 6 months on average.

For people undergoing MPA with oocyte donation: On average, it takes between 12 and 30 months from the start of the procedure at the donation center to the allocation of oocytes to recipients. However, these times may vary in the case of matching with recipients, for whom donors with the same physical characteristics are rarer.

This is why the Agence de la biomédecine is running a national communication campaign on gamete donation, to raise awareness among the public of donating age and recruit new donors.
