New institutional cooperation

In 2023, the Agence de la biomédecine was asked by several countries to initiate cooperation on organ procurement and transplantation from living and deceased donors, as well as on tissue transplantation and tissue banking issues. Hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCT) and reproductive medical assistance (RMA) are increasingly being added to the missions of international agencies, which call on the Agency's expertise to develop them.

The Agence de la biomédecine has responded favorably to these requests, and cooperation agreements are currently being drawn up. A case in point is the Centre National pour le Don et de la Transplantation (CNDT) in Senegal. Agence biomédecine's international cooperation initiatives are based on our shared values (solidarity, public information, neutrality, ethics and fairness) and the sharing of our expertise in the legal framework for activities, the management of registers, the training of healthcare professionals and the development of guidelines and best practice guides.
