Can I choose which organs I don't want to donate?

It is possible to donate only certain organs and tissues. To do so, you can register on the National Register of Refusals the organs and tissues you do not wish to be removed.

It is also possible to express your opposition to the removal of certain organs or tissues in writing on a document that you can leave with a close relative, so that he or she can bear witness to this at the time of your death. If you are unable to write and sign this document yourself, two witnesses can attest that the document drawn up by a third party corresponds to your wishes.

Finally, you can communicate this information orally to your next of kin, who will be asked to sign a written document transcribing the circumstances of this expression. In this way, only the organs and tissues you wish to donate will be removed.
