Agence de la biomédecine has been cooperating with Moldova since June 2010, when the Moldovan National Transplant Agency was created.

The aim of this cooperation is to organize deceased donor harvesting and develop a tissue bank. A three-year agreement has been signed by the Agence de la biomédecine and the Moldovan agency, with the support of the French Embassy in Chisinau, to ensure the continuity of these exchanges.

In 2024, the Moldovan Transplant Agency was entrusted with a new mission to regulate and supervise medically assisted reproduction, and called on the expertise of the Agence de la biomédecine in this field. Cooperation has thus evolved to include the development of MPA in the country.

Agence de la biomédecine's international cooperation initiatives are based on our shared values (solidarity, public information, neutrality, ethics and fairness) and the sharing of our expertise in the legal framework for activities, the management of registers, the training of healthcare professionals and the development of guidelines and best practice guides.
