Donation centers and healthcare facilities
Bone marrow donation relies on a network of 29 centers (CHU or EFS centers) throughout France. These structures provide information to potential donors, manage registrations on the national register of volunteer donors, coordinate medical examinations, carry out bone marrow collection and provide post-donation follow-up. Health establishments authorized to perform hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplants take charge of recipients and carry out the various stages of bone marrow transplants. The Agency supervises, coordinates and supports all activities in this field, working alongside professionals.

Several learned societies contribute to improving practices in the field of bone marrow donation and transplantation. They support research, help train professionals and draw up professional recommendations.
