Published on 22 January 2025
Every year, the Agence de la biomédecine publishes consolidated data on the activities of the multidisciplinary prenatal diagnosis centers (CPDPN), which play an important role in assessing risk situations during pregnancy. These data are analyzed and compiled in the medical and scientific report.
Consolidated data on the activity of multidisciplinary prenatal diagnosis centers
The medical and scientific report presents a detailed overview of the activities of the 48 CPDPNs in France. Data include :
- the number of files examined each year by the centers ;
- the nature of medical indications, such as abnormalities detected by ultrasound, abnormal screening results or other risk factors identified during pregnancy;
- the decisions taken after evaluation of the files (multidisciplinary consultation): specific medical surveillance, post-natal medical or surgical care, or medical termination of pregnancy:
- geographical distribution of centers and access to diagnostic services by region.
These data provide a comprehensive and detailed understanding of center activity, while supporting healthcare professionals and decision-makers in the evolution of medical practices. The analysis of these data contributes to improving the quality of care and treatment for women.
