Registre France Greffe de Moelle
Published on 22 January 2025
The France Greffe de Moelle Registry, managed by the Agence de la biomédecine, centralizes data on voluntary bone marrow donors. Its aim is to promote access to hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplants for all patients suffering from serious blood diseases. The medical and scientific report provides an annual analysis of these data.
Consolidated data for the France Greffe de Moelle Registry
The medical and scientific report details the activities of the Registre France Greffe de Moelle. This information includes key indicators such as :
- the number of registered voluntary donors and changes in the national registry ;
- placental blood units available within the French network;
- donor characteristics, including diversity and HLA phenotypes;
- registrations of patients waiting for compatible grafts, with a breakdown by age, diagnosis and region;
- the number of transplants performed, according to the source of HSC (bone marrow, peripheral blood or placental blood), and the time between registration and transplantation.
These data make it possible to assess changes in general activity and practices, in particular the availability of and access to grafts. The registry is an essential tool for meeting national and international needs in terms of HSC transplants, and ensuring equal access to transplants for patients.
