Agence de la biomédecine works closely with international healthcare organizations, sharing its expertise to support the development of safe and effective medical practices abroad.
It carries out international cooperation projects in conjunction with organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Council of Europe and the European Commission, and intervenes at the request of local authorities or the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its main objective is to support the development of donor and transplant systems in partner countries, notably in North Africa (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia) and Eastern Europe (Moldavia, Bulgaria). This takes the form of training courses, the sharing of best practices and the establishment of legislative and ethical frameworks for transplantation.
Agence de la biomédecine also plays an active and recognized role in international congresses and working groups, during which it shares its expertise with players from all over the world. It contributes to the development of best practices and the harmonization of medical standards, reinforcing its status as a reference authority in its fields of intervention. At the same time, the agency maintains an international watch to anticipate scientific and medical developments in the field of bioethics.
