Marine Jeantet, new Chief Executive Officer of Agence de la biomédecine
Published on 1 February 2023
By decree published in the Journal Officiel on January 29, 2023, Marine Jeantet has been appointed Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine. She succeeds Emmanuelle Cortot Boucher, Director General of the Agence de la biomédecine since October 2019.
A public health physician, Marine Jeantet has been inter-ministerial delegate for the prevention and fight against poverty since March 2020. In the course of her career, she had previously been director of occupational risks at the Caisse nationale d'assurance maladie, chaired the Igas health college for two years, and was medical advisor to the Social Security Department.
During her hearing at the French National Assembly on January 11, 2023, she reiterated her desire to strengthen collaborative approaches in the management of the Agency: "I will not fail to closely associate patient and user associations, the media and members of parliament with all the Agency's work, as the Agency has done for many years. These issues of health democracy are absolutely essential, and have been included as a priority in the agency's new contract of objectives and performance. For me, this is the sine qua non for maintaining the public's trust in our activities.
