The Agence de la biomédecine supports healthcare professionals by offering initial and continuing training courses adapted to medical, scientific and regulatory developments. The courses are designed to develop the skills required for the practices supervised by the Agency, using innovative teaching methods and high-performance tools.
An essential mission, Qualiopi-certified and tailored to the needs of professionals
As an accredited and Qualiopi-certified training organization, Agence de la biomédecine's mission is to train healthcare professionals in its areas of expertise. It offers a range of training courses adapted to the changing needs of the people concerned, taking into account their professional constraints. Distance learning sessions are available via a distance learning platform, supplemented by virtual classes. These courses, led by experts, take into account legislative, regulatory, medical and scientific developments, to ensure that skills development is in line with realities in the field. Partnerships with national teaching colleges for specialties involved in organ and tissue procurement and transplantation (anesthesia-intensive care, intensive care medicine, emergency medicine, neurology, etc.) have been set up to raise awareness among these professionals as early as the internship stage (junior doctors).
Innovative teaching solutions
To encourage skills development, the Agency favors innovative, interactive teaching approaches. Our training offer includes a variety of solutions, such as immersive training modules, serious games and sessions in simulation centers, anatomy and large animal laboratories. These systems cover both the technical and relational aspects of the various professions, providing professionals with the tools they need to enhance their practices through engaging, hands-on training.
Athena: a skills assessment and tracking system
Athena is a tool dedicated to assessing and monitoring the skills of hospital organ and tissue procurement coordination nurses. Accessible to all establishments involved in the organ procurement and transplantation chain, Athena is based on the national repository of skills specific to this function. This ergonomic tool enables professionals and their supervisors to assess acquired skills, identify training needs and benefit from personalized recommendations, thus contributing to 360° skills management. Eventually, Athena will also be available to coordinating physicians.
