Organ and tissue donation and transplantation - Authorization of establishments

In accordance with article L. 1233-1 of the French Public Health Code, only authorized healthcare establishments may carry out organ and tissue harvesting and transplantation. Regional health agencies issue these authorizations on the advice of the Agence de la biomédecine. For Maastricht 2 and Maastricht 3 collections, healthcare establishments sign agreements with the Agency, which ensures compliance with the protocols governed by these agreements.
